Daytona Continues Its Partnership With Project Forest

Daytona Continues Its Partnership With Project Forest

Daytona Homes is proud to continue growing our environmental efforts through another year of partnership with Project Forest, this time as a Bronze Woodland Partner.

This year, we’re supporting a shelterbelt initiative with Siksika Nation, part of the Blackfoot Confederacy east of Calgary. Together, 1,000 trees will be planted to help protect and strengthen the land. The project reflects the Nation’s long-standing connection to the land and ongoing efforts to care for it over time.

A shelterbelt is a row of trees that acts as a natural barrier, helping reduce wind erosion, protect soil, and create better conditions for crops, wildlife, and surrounding ecosystems to thrive.

For us, this partnership goes beyond planting trees. It’s about supporting Indigenous-led stewardship, restoring natural landscapes, and contributing to something that will have a lasting impact.

At Daytona Homes, we believe the spaces we create should reflect the values we carry forward. That means building homes and communities with care, while supporting initiatives that help leave the land stronger than we found it.

We’re proud to support Project Forest and Siksika Nation in this work toward a more sustainable future.
