A home is more than 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.
If you’re shopping for a new home, one of the first things
that comes to mind, besides the price, is the square footage. House sizes at
Daytona range from our townhomes at 1,322 to our single-family homes which can
be over 2,500 sq ft.
But consider, not just the size, but how well that size is
used. Square footage can be deceiving if the floor plan doesn’t work. We’ve all
seen home renovation shows where they change the interior of the house, but the
sq. footage remains the same. Voila! A couple of tweaks and it’s a better
functioning space.
At Daytona, we want this for your new home-- so we’ve made
it great right from the start!
Our new home, the Kona-Z is 1500 sq. ft and is a perfect
example of how a well-thought-out floorplan makes a welcome home.
The Kona-Z is a Shotgun Home,
tried and true, has been around since the 19th century because it
works. The foyer opens into the great room, seamlessly runs into the nook, and
you breeze into the kitchen- then right out the back door if you like.
It’s open concept, with a 9-foot ceiling and the rooms are neatly
arranged in a row. The pantry, bath and closet stay tucked to one side, along
with the staircase. It’s a floorplan
that works so well, the size of it doesn’t come into play.
Upstairs is equally functionable. At the top of the stairs
is the generous laundry room and main bath, then, to the right is the primary
bedroom. Here, there is not one, but two walk-in closets, dual vanity in
ensuite, and of course, full size shower. Getting ready in the morning will be
easy-peasy.
To left of the stairs are the two equally measured bedrooms
where your kids can enjoy their own areas and get ready without bumping into
one another.
So, when you’re shopping for a new home, look for the more
than just the size, look at the flow and design and see if it will match for
your needs.
What makes a good new home? A good Daytona floorplan, use of
space, and you in it.
